Originally from the oil-rich region of Midland, Texas, Shae brings an impressive two decades of experience in sub-surface title acquisitions, surface land representation, and land negotiations. His journey in the oil industry began with mineral acquisitions across the lower forty-eight states, where he gained a deep understanding of the diverse laws and norms of land management.
Shae’s extensive professional journey includes roles at prestigious organizations, including Endeavor Energy Resources, LP, Callon Petroleum Company, Element Petroleum Operating, and Mohler Resources, LLC. Over the years, he has honed his abilities as a self-sufficient, detail-oriented professional renowned for his exceptional negotiation skills and relentless pursuit of excellence. Shae’s experience includes collaborating with diverse stakeholders, working closely with government agencies, and managing third-party contractors and surveyors. He has consistently ensured compliance with lease rights and obligations, settled surface damages, and secured vital easements, right of way, and surface use agreements, optimizing the development and operation of land holdings.
Shae’s educational background is equally impressive. He holds a Master of Jurisprudence in Oil, Gas, and Energy Law from Texas A&M University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Sam Houston University. His active membership in esteemed associations, including the American Association of Petroleum Landmen (AAPL), the Permian Basin Landmen’s Association (PBLA), and the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), further demonstrates his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
